The Reds were an American Basketball League team in the heading days, prior to World War Two. Moe Frankel led Jersey City to the ABL championship in 1938, averaging 8 points per game~~and finishing fourth in the league in scoring! The Reds defeated the New York Jewels, their archrivals, to win the crown. The following season, the Jewels turned the tide, topping Jersey City to take the championship. Other Reds rivals included the Brooklyn Visitations, the Philadelphia SPHA's and the New York Original Celtics. Jacket is 100% cotton, heavy twill with sewn-on felt appliques and enameled metal snaps. Contains custom braid and knit trim on sleeves and waistband, and has a quilted lining.
