Before the Braves made their way South, the Atlanta Crackers were a strong, popular franchise of the Southern League, playing at Ponce De Leon Park (across from what is now City Hall East). There was a train track running behind the outfield wall, and if a train was ahead of schedule it might make a quick stop to catch an inning or two of Crackers baseball. This authentic home jersey from our hometown 1957 Atlanta Crackers of the Southern League is made of a 100% wool body with navy blue and red soutache piping sewn around the collar, down the front, and around the end of the sleeves. It has ''Crackers'' in stylized red on navy blue felt across the front, and comes with number 8 in red on navy felt on the front and back.
